It was our youngest grandson's first Broadway show last month.  He said he liked it, but said he was surprised it was for ages 10 (and up).  He's.....oh I'm thinking.....11.

I said 'oh it was racy?' and he said 'NO--it wasnt' racist!'.  I had to explain racy to him

I thought you were referring to the term wicked, which has been around for a long time.  It means awesome

Really, oh.  Guess you didn't read my post thoroughly.  The first comment stated "Wicked movie out 11/22 so will be lots of tie-ins."

I'm disappointed to see Beekman 1802 saturated with co-promotion Wicked pink and green products.

I have enjoyed their products for the appearance of simple good ingredients, and now its obvious they are using coloring additives and such for the promotional tie-in.

If they bring out any of the baby goats in pink or green costumes they are OVER for me.

I mean - is Beekman1802 NASCAR next, or Beekman 102 Doritos?

I was wondering about adding dyes, but as usual no ingredients listed on the Q product page. If they have added dyes then they are no better than Philosophy.

THey said the green color was achieved by using chlorophyl.  Not sure about the pink or the "shimmer"..What is that from???

@Shelbelle and @haddon9 ...I guess the minority gets a bit larger.

I saw the play many years ago and while the production values were good I didn't much care for the score (with the exception of the very funny "Popular") or the story itself.

The signature "Defying Gravity" is IMO a tremendously overrated number and I would not place it among the great Broadway anthems. The song "For Good" is sappy enough to require an Ozempic shot.

I think "The King and I"  and "Les Miserables" are the two best musical scores ever!  Not really a clinker in either show.  "Cabaret" comes very close also.

If you like spectacle with a couple of memorable songs then I think that "Phantom" is a much better way to spend money on a ticket!

This Green frenzy will pass soon enough.  Remember when the world seemed to be doused in Pepto-Bismol

during "Barbie" mania? Smiley Very Happy

I have never seen Wicked and I doubt my DH would want to see this movie coming out. Green is my favorite color. But I would never buy anything that has tie ins to a movie or a TV show.

I'm not a fan of live theater or musicals, so I'm really not interested in seeing the movie.  I do however love pink and green!  I think its all very cute, so don't have a problem with any of the tie ins.

I would give the boys the benefit of the doubt here and say if the green is not artificially colored, then most likely neither is the pink.

I’ve seen many Broadway shows having worked in NYC & living across the Hudson & have so many favorites from days gone by. I saw Wicked many years ago and liked it but I’d not rank it as my favorite.

But, Wicked is relevant today & has a deeper meaning. It’s about friendship & two girls who are very different, yet despite those differences are very alike & are good friends. It’s a wonderful message for young people & serves as a reminder to adults.

I also loved the movie Wild Robots which has a similar message.
