@QVCkitty1
ITA! Don't let them bother you. There are people like that everywhere. I try to be mindful of not posting snarky remarks but if someone puts words into my mouth, well game on. Lol
Remember that you can't control what others say, only how YOU react to it. I tell myself this all the time. 🙂

I have noticed that some people have poor reading comprehension.
When someone asks a question, some give crazy answers that have nothing to do with the question asked and they scold because they didn't get what the poster was trying to convey.
Sometimes it boggles my mind.

yeah, there's always that person who has an opinion about everything, has to tell the world, and thinks they're always right. also a holier than thou attitude even if they themselves are guilty of the same offense

What people say on these forums is no different than real life.
Some people prefer to complain.
Some expect others to do it their way.
Some expect others to always agree with them.
A lot of people read more into a post than is really there.
We have to wear our big girl and big boy pants if posting on any social media. Don't let some anonymous stranger get to you.

The scolding is a sport for several posters.
Plus, they accumulate a higher number of posts, which solidifies their reign over the Kingdom.

I think it goes both ways.
Sometimes when people "ask for help," what they really want is not to actually solve a problem (because all good ideas for solutions are either ignored or answered with yes, but), but for folks to agree with them that they are right and the other person/company/situation is "wrong"/the problem is impossible to solve/there is nothing they could have done to prevent it/and certainly nothing they can do now because they are absolutely innocent victims.
And the "judgment" flows from them as well when anyone suggests anything different.

@Isobel Archer , To be clear, my post concerned a simple answer to a straightforward question , not moral dilemmas . It makes me think of emails I get from Amazon customers about an item I purchased. Can you answer this question ? If I can't I check no and move on.

Maybe they are just trying to pose opposite viewpoints. They could do that nicely, though.
If we did not have opposing thoughts & opinions, how could we fully make up our own minds?

This sums things up very succinctly.
