I don't mind them. I suspect they had critical parents and are as hard on themselves as they are to others.

I don't expect to like every post, but the pleasing ones far exceed those that aren't.

Its funny you mention that, I have a friend that is pretty critical but once you know her you realize she was just brought up from a critical mom and means no harm.  Others ask me how I can tolerate her but she has a kind heart its just buried a bit deeper than some.

I get what you're saying.  It takes all kinds of people and personalities to make the world go round. I guess, sometimes frustrations come out when people ask questions that could easily be answered by employing a little self help.  Sometimes it feels like they want others to do the homework for them.

@JeanLouiseFinch , I'm sorry, but to me these are just excuses for bad behavior, when it would be easier to just scroll on. For every poster who delights in saying Google is your friend, there seem to be three who jump in to help.

Some people have different levels of experience searching out information, I was in IT before retiring so I am use to researching things online but I realize not everyone enjoys it or is familar with it. Kindness goes a long way and if you don't want to help keep scrolling!

@spumoni99 , Absolutely! No one is obliged to help.

So, I guess your opinion is the only valid one?  How is your behavior any better than that of those you've decided to discuss, when you're challenging my observation?  You could have easily scrolled by, too, but decided to pick apart my reply instead.  That's pretty rich alright.

This is by no means meant to excuse the behavior, but I do believe hurt people...hurt people. Woman Sad

My experience is that there are a number of older posters here that may not be as computer experienced as some.

There may be questions about computer issues or they may be very upset about an incident in their lives they need to resolve and have no one else to ask.

Hopefully, those responding with a snarky reply will think twice and just move on.
