Who better to help than the best military in the world ?

Btw, Army docs/medics have done much to advance emergency and trauma medicine. They've done the impossible and performed miracles for our soldiers and sailors.

Our troops can, and do, do it all.

This is really unsettling for those who have loved ones serving in the army. It takes a really brave person to deal with something like this.

I think the bigger issue is our lack of preparedness for ALL of the infectious agents that we are going to encounter in the near future.

It's not just about Ebola.

Britain has joined the team, they know it will be there eventually.

Some of us knew it would come here, also. Research should have been funded years ago, there are reports saying we would have a cure by now if funding had not been cut over the past recent years.

I heard that on TV also. As an FYI, medical research is a crappe shoot since researchers follow many different paths. There is money if it is used right.

I also agree with gardenman. I'll add to it also by saying that even if they had a vaccine, there will always be the few who won't be vaccinated, so there you go. I'm a realist and I'm glad I am.
