Re: Why do we focus on the negative?

There are several posters here that I do not get along with. I don't focus on them as they are someone on an internet board that I don't know & they don't know me. I put them on ignore & move on. This board is nothing compared to other online chats where it is not monitored.

Re: Why do we focus on the negative?

Personally Deb, I enjoy your posts, and you shouldn't bother or worry about what others think of you. Be true to yourself..... there are always going to be people in life that you don't like and they don't like or don't understand you, but you can't concern yourself with trying to please everybody. I know it is frustrating to be misunderstood, and especially on a forum where people can't see you, or your facial expressions, or have any knowledge of your background... it's just shallow words most of the time. Far too easy for people to be rude, or inconsiderate or just plain cruel. You don't have to please anyone, and certainly shouldn't worry if those type of people don't make an attempt to understand you. To quote the profound words of "Adele Dazim ala John Travolta" just LET IT GO! Smile

ETA: When people get stupid nasty with me, I just remind myself.... pixels on a screen. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}
