This show that they are doing on Friday is nothing more than a sales event featuring the vendors. That's it.
It's in California..and it is supposed to be pouring...they are going to serve food?!...lemme guess...overpriced lobster gram and crab cakes? Dennis Basso will be there (yawn)...probably Chaz (double yawn)...and Joan Rivers.
Oh yeah..and Lisa will be in some designer gown.
Whooppee!

Like all of their "events", they are not really a part of it just having their program in the same area. Such a waste. I don't think anyone cares that they are there.
The above dresses are not very appealing.

They are not. There will be no actors there. They probably rent some kind of concession venue somewhere off the main area to stand there and ""interview"" their regular vendors and sell stuff.

"Dollar General" will there to do after party interviews. Then, they will change their name to "Dollar General Hospital" and handle hangover cases.

Back a couple of years ago I read the QVC annual report and a Quarterly earnings call transcript and one of their strategies is the intersection of fashion and entertainment. QVC wouldn't keep doing it if they didn't make money to offset the cost. Lots of people tune in to see which celebs are going to be at the party..while people watching they pay attention to what's being sold and must buy stuff.

If they didn't mix it up from time to time, then people would be saying "Same old, same old." LOL. It's interesting programming when they broadcast from other locations other than the studio. I used to love the QVC Locals and watched every single one.

We used to do cable shows featuring football and hockey players from local bars.
The bars paid to participate...and often got beer brands, sports stores, etc. to also get involved. Kind of "low rent" vs. Hollywood - but you get the idea!
It's called a promotional event and everybody does it.
The outside vendors "pay" to get in - either cash, discounts on units, specials, etc. The publicists make sure that some B level starts are there - they get photo opps in all the weekly magazines.
I get People, Star and Life & Style every week. More and more items from the Q and HSN are featured. They pay actresses to wear the clothes and get their photos taken in "candid" shots.
It's all show biz, folks!

I didn't know Q did that.
