I love my job, I love what I do........but some days I really love it, like today.........I had a young couple come to see me last week........they wanted a new kitchen.......they had just bought a small two bedroom bungalow near our store........this home was built in the 40's and that kitchen was AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL.........no planing, poor use of space, and just plain ugly.........now when we do a site assessment we also take photos.........the couple had redid the floor with tile........it's ugly but it's what I had to work with..........today I finished the design and called them.............they came to the store........now on my desk I had the cabinet door in the color I had picked for them, I had the granite I had picked, glass and slate rectangle backsplash tiles......the whole works sitting on my desk...........I asked them if they like the door, they said yes that's so pretty.........then I asked about the granite, they said they really loved it but couldn't afford granite, then I asked bout the glass/slate tile, they really loved it..................now the funny thing was, they had NO idea this was for their kitchen...........I told them great cause this is your new kitchen and I hit the monitor button to turn my monitor on.........when it came on there was their kitchen..........all they kept saying was WOW.....over and over LOL...........the gal was over joyed but the hubs I could see he was worried and I knew what it was.........cost............I then asked him if he wanted to see the very best part........I showed him the MSRP $11,385.00.......he looked a little green.......then I said that's not the best part this is, flipped the paper and showed him our price just at $3500 for the cabinets and laundry room and $1905 for the granite in the kitchen and laundry room..........total tiny bit over $5300............I have never seen two people so relieved and so excited all at once...............THAT'S why I love my job........you always get to really help people, and sometimes a young couple just starting out in life together.................really fitting for the day before Valentine's Day
