It was pitch black by 4:45. It started getting dark at 3:30 and I thought it was just clouds and rain was coming in. Every year I do the same thing, I get surprised when it gets dark in the afternoon.

Except we are are Standard Time now, not Daylight Saving.

I like it because I am up early and out the door weekday mornings after 7 a.m.
and it is bright out. I dislike it when it is very dark at that time.

You have it backwards. We are now on Standard time. Daylight Saving time is what we had before we switched the clocks back a few days ago. But I'm with you - don't like the early darkness.

Hello, darkness, my old friend...

You're right. I suppose I should have said I hate time changes. I wish they would stay with standard time.

I hate it. When we Spring Forward they need to end this BS. We don't like when it gets dark early in the day???
We want it to stay darker longer in the morning while we are sleeping?
I still have not adjusted. Don't know what day it is. Can't function. Have not got much of anything done this week.

Before they legislate anything to do with time, they need to require automakers to fix the LED headlights so they don't blind oncoming traffic.
Then they can legislate Standard Time permanently.
Once the headlight issue is resolved, I wouldn't care if it got dark right after lunch!
I think if I sent in my DNA it would show a relationship to Bela Lugosi.

We're a little over a month away from winter solstice and then the days start to get longer...only by about 30 seconds each day. But that's a start!

@chrystaltree. It's Standard Time that causes early darkness. With Daylight savings it would get dark an hour later.
