That would be Vivien Leigh.. she sure favors Elizabeth Taylor when she was a child.  or at least I think so.

My immediate thought was Elizabeth Taylor in Jane Eyre; she plays a young , abused orphan.

You are correct.  She dies as a child in the movie.  Joan Fontaine played Jane Eyre as an adult. 

 

I'm not sure of the identity of the photo though.  It could very well be Vivien Leigh.

 

I read that book over and over again to my dying mother.  It was her favorite book.  And I've seen several movie versions.  It is an incredible story.
