Besides myself, I am guessing my cats are tired of my being around 24/7. They don't understand why I am not feeding them every hour on the hour. I have no idea what they do when I'm not here, but they are driving me crazy with their constant begging.

This will not be over soon so get used to it. If we don't stay away from each other we will never be rid of it. The worst thing I've read is China is seeing more cases pop up. They tried to open a few movie theaters and immediately closed them. Very very disheartening. Staying home all the time isn't the best but being sick or worse isn't good either, right. Not to mention infecting others.

I have food, roof over my head, a car, and so many things to be thankful for, I am retired so it's not really an adjustment for us for the most part and it may be raining, but people are out walking their dogs and themselves. Time to count the blessings. This too will pass.
exactly!
you are right. and the hospitals don't want us either. i'm fine with not being wanted there.
why some are sounding off like staying home as much as possible is a life sentence without the possibility of parole, is troublesome. yes, i realize that no matter what, some people aren't happy.
if one thinks positive, they will have positive results. if one thinks negative, they will have negative results.

Would it be possible for you to do a home project. Something, perhaps that you have wanted to do but have putting off due to lack of time. It can be little or small, I have a girlfriend and her hubby that are going to Lowes Early in the morning and purchasing supplies, and doing little projects around the house.
I am telecommuting during the work week, but on the weekends I have been re-organizing rooms in my house. Throwing things out and such, that are not needed.

I worked in the yard this morning. I pulled out 4 dried oleanders and planted some new plants.

@Carmie wrote:I am okay staying home. I usually don't go out unless I am volunteering at school, grocery shopping or taking friends to the doctor. Often , that is a few times a week and somethimes zero times.
Last week my car was totaled by a driver who ran a stop sign while driving over the speed limit, so I have no car. The insurance company approved a rental for 7 days. I declined. There is nowhere to go. The rental would just be parked in the garage taking up space.
I can't even go shopping for a new car. I spend time browsing the internet looking at them. Hopefully, I can replace my car soon and can drive it if I choose.
I am a homebody.
Oh goodness, @Carmie, are you ok? I hate that someone totalled your car! Hope you are ok.

@SharkE I just read your post about the mouse and it's not funny - still I can't stop laughing. I've heard the same thing about steel wool.

I go for a walk in the early am and at night.
Anne Frank was in hiding for 2 years. She could not go out.
This is not fun but we can do it.

I find it amazing that there are grown people finding it difficult being "restricted" for the safety of their health and life. Being the product of the end of WWII and the baby boomer generation, this is the, truly, first time we have experienced a life threatening situation. Hardship, our parents and grandparents knew what hardship was. They went through war, depression, epidemics without a "government" bailout, they had no social security, no 401K, no investment in a stock market, so savings account backed by FDIC.
I for one am grateful, I am able to enjoy my home and find safety within it's walls as well as comfort. I have no problem keeping my life safe. I enjoy my own company, I love my home. I am fortunate to be able to call friends and have conversations, I can facetime my family when I wish to see them, I can write letters and pour my heart out in the written word, I can clean my home and scrub my floors, I can plant flowers and see the joy of life blooming.
I am grateful that I am alive in all it's glory and feel blessed and thankful that I am healthy and do not have the dreaded Corona virus. I am grateful for my life!
