This is a timely question. I am going thru something now that I am not so sure there is forgiveness in this situation.

I think people can let something go croemer........forgiving may not be the right word, letting go may be a better phrase........you can do that because it benefits you on a multitude of levels to let something awful/painful/etc. go......you don't need to forget it..................................raven

TY...that may be a possibility when I come out the other end...letting go that is. Forgiveness...doubtful.

That is absolutely right on . . . I've always said it and just said it again somewhere in this thread or another one. Narcissists always turn it around, exactly what they did, they put on the person they did it to. I have never seen it fail, and I have known quite a few narcissists in my time.

I wish I had this poster. I would frame it and hang it without hesitation!!

It's much harder to forgive someone you don't respect. Good people sometimes do bad things. They are much easier to forgive.

I think it is easy to forgive when you know in your heart of hearts how much you have been forgiven. This only is realized when you have a relationship with Jesus.

Deleted my post...I quoted another poster who is going through a difficult time, as I wanted to share with her what I have learned about Forgiveness, through my personal experience...somewhat personal information...I was hoping she would see my reply, but it went unacknowledged, so I deleted it due to personal nature.

Interesting topic and I love good discussions, but it does help to have others to share with! lol

I think maybe if we respect ourselves then we forgive and let it go whether we respect the other person or not.Smiley Happy

I only have to think of my worst sin to be able to forgive others freely.

I actively work on being compassionate, we are all connected, whether we accept it or not.

To forgive another is to forgive yourself as well.

That's a good way to keep perspective. We aren't as good or as bad as we sometimes think nor are most others.

I want to agree that Sawn's post is wonderful and might be the ultimate answer

Was that me wildflowers? I deleted my post also after rereading and thinking it was TMI. It was also very personal which does not always go well on this BB.

Hi Ford...No, it was another poster...However, I did see your post 102 regarding narcissists and was going to reply...I couldn't agree with you more...They are definitely very difficult and disturbed people...I'm sorry that you have had to deal with a few in your life...one would be more than enough!

I definitely wouldn't want that poster in post 102 hanging in my home! lol
