Who has started Christmas shopping

Besides me? I've got five people covered so far. Found a Kate Spade wristlet for $45 for my picky cousin. She's a KS addict so this should be a hit. I hope. My total list is short, and most will again get gift cards from me. I wanted to get as much done as early as possible, because we are leaving for an overseas trip right after Christmas.

I start early but not this early. Besides I only buy gifts for my two daughters and my BFF. DH and I don't even exchange gifts.

I started my Christmas shopping already, mostly due to QVC Christmas in July. Found candles and a pillar for a friend, a Berkshire throw for another friend and a Luminara candle wearing a cozy Christmas sweater for myself. I like to get most of the shopping done before November so I can relax and enjoy the holidays.

I've already finished my sister and two best friends.

That should be it for me till fall when I shop for my niece and two nephews. Oh, and my brother in law. And that will be it.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I no longer shop for Christmas, except for items to cook and bake with.

My husband and I don't exchange and I give my children, their spouses and my grands cash.

I do buy for one friend who is in a senior care home, but I will do that in December.

I wish I was going on vacation right after Christmas. That sounds wonderful. Sometimes we go to Florida for the month of February, but haven't since COVID.

I miss it.

Years ago my sisters and I decided to just go with VERY nice individual holiday cards with thoughtful comments written inside. The choices have been really gorgeous and mean a lot to us.

For my niece and nephew, they get the same with a gift card inside. That could be for a retail outlet, Starbucks or ... the Big Hit a couple years ago .... a small booklet of coupons for FREE car washes!

So, while my holiday shopping isn't "done", I can throw it all together in an afternoon. But, obviously, not until the Papyrus holiday cards are in the stores.
