Re: Who else hates Amazon since they started using their own delivery drivers?

I prefer Amazon Delivery trucks, actually.  There are two fulfillment centers where I live and a corporate office.  This doesn't mean what I order will come from that fulfillment center.

USPS, UPS, Fed Ex, Laser Ship and others are not held responsible for missed deliveries and mishaps.  Amazon Drivers (fleet) are accountable to Amazon!  I like that.  Laser Ship is the worst and they lie about deliveries and signatures.  I don't like it when Amazon uses them.

Amazon is the best, their drivers or contractors either way  tons better than anyone else

Re: Who else hates Amazon since they started using their own delivery drivers?

I have never had a problem with an Amazon delivery until yesterday. When placing my order last week, I selected standard shipping-expected delivery between Oct. 26th and Nov. 2nd. I was out of town all day Sunday-Oct. 24th. When I arrived back home Sunday night-there sat two Amazon boxes on my front deck-sopping wet! I had ordered-a lot-of books to give to students in my classroom. The Amazon boxes were drenched, as was every single book inside those boxes. Pages were wrinkled and soggy, some of the rain-soaked paperback book pages had even torn away from the binding, all-just a wet mess.

I took pictures, assuming that I would need "proof" of the damage. However, Amazon Customer Service immediately sent me replacement books-at no cost to me, no picture needed, and I do not need to go through the hassle of returning the rain-damaged books to Amazon.

I did not expect or need an earlier-than-stated delivery. Plus, the delivery on a Sunday was surprising.

But-kudos to Amazon Customer Service! I am a very satisfied customer. Now...What to do with all of the rain-damaged books? Smiley Happy

@redwrite For future reference, you can go into your delivery instructions and there is a place to designate no deliveries on Saturday or Sunday or both. Their customer service is very good about not leaving customers holding the bag when there is a problem.

I love it and get my orders in two days.  If it's a Sunday I get delivery by USPS truck.  There is also a locked Amazon box on the corner.  Definitely faster & cheaper.

A lot of people have long hours, stressful jobs and make little money.  I'm really tired of some thinking that no one is allowed to comment about a problem or an issue with a company because of that.

I don't really have Amazon delivery issues.  I just learned not to have them deliver to my office.  If it is something I really don't want left on my porch, I have it delivered to an Amazon locker which is across the street from work.

I have had a couple of instances where my delivery was supposed to be on a certain day and I rec'd an e-mail that the delivery was delayed.  Again, I don't have a problem with that.  99.9% of what I ordered isn't anything I need by a specific time.  In fact, if I'm placing an order for multiple items, I always click the box to hold everything to be delivered at once rather than have multiple deliveries on different days to my house.

Only once in 10 yrs. have i had a problem, so much easier than running here and there to get items.

Amen sister @Lipstickdiva... And I'm equally as tired of the 'spoiled', 'entitled' and 'privileged' mantra when one does...

On the up side, I was pleased my Amazon Fresh delivery last evening came off without a hitch. Though it was a rainy and unpleasant evening in my area, the driver arrived on time and was very pleasant.
