She always seemed to have the long hair covering her face while she sang sort of hunched over. I never got a really good look at her face while she performed.

Is she trying to deliberately look older, for a role in something?  It's a very dated look.  And what's with the chain hanging from her glasses?  Maybe she's going to be in the Broadway production of "Nine to Five"!
