I'll go this afternoon, when it's less busy.  The offices being elected are all local except for some judicial seats.  Guess I should do a little research before going, or else I'll vote just party line.

DH voted on his way to the office and I voted at 9:30.  When I was 18 years old, my mother took me to the county clerk's office to register to vote.  I always vote and so does DH.  We taught our sons to do the same.  It is a civic duty.

@June222  If you used to go to the polls to vote, do you miss it now? Or do you prefer voting by mail and would do so even if your polls were open for voting?

I understand that in rural areas where things are so spread out, voting by mail is preferable for a lot of people.

@Pearlee   Yes we did go to the polls a few years ago (10?). I much prefer voting by mail . They are saying we will be able to vote here by computer here soon. Save a stamp.

We do also but it's a choice.  We also can go to the polls on election day, as I will be doing soon.  A woman who lives only a few houses away from me has been a pollworker at my precinct for as long as I can remember.   I say "good for her."  They aren't paid all that well for such a long day.

I assume you are voting on whether to legalize marijuana.  Not TO legalize it - that's why people are voting --  to decide that.

We choose to vote by mail now.  It's so much easier and you don't have to deal with the weather.
