This is not a political thread!  It's a "are you doing this activity" thread. Just asking who is voting today?  Or, have you voted already absentee for today's election?

I'm going to vote in a while. I enjoy going to the polls, voting in person (rather absentee) and seeing my neighbors.  We have some important local races and one esp. important issue on the ballot.  I have voted in almost every election - general, primary, and special, since I turned 21, which was the age I had to be to vote when I first started voting.  I'm one of those people who thinks it's a civic duty, and if a person doesn't vote, she/he doesn't later have the right to complain about the serving politicians.  So....I'll be voting soon.   I'll probably dig out something patriotic to wear from old Quacker Factory clothes, put on my "VOTE" pin and earrings (the pollworkers always  enjoy this) and go.

It only takes a few minutes to do.

We don't have anything to vote for in our township.

@June222  If you used to go to the polls to vote, do you miss it now? Or do you prefer voting by mail and would do so even if your polls were open for voting?

I understand that in rural areas where things are so spread out, voting by mail is preferable for a lot of people.

For some reason, there is no voting in my area today. Several other communities have elections and issues to vote on.

I just came back from voting. I was joking with the election watcher that I needed to change districts. My district is always busy while the other two that share the space are usually empty. Turnout looked moderate in the little bit of time I was there.
