I don't think HH is deliberately unkind; I think she is just a blunt, plain-spoken person.

I would bet that when they went to get the approval on his cc something showed up there that the payment was late.As I said before - when you are married the credit bureau considers the two of you as one.
And , yes, it is your responsibility to get a payment in time so that it is posted by the due date.

I have had many credit cards and several mortgages during my lifetime, and no payment has ever been considered late if it is MADE on or before the due date, or if they receive it by the due date - no matter when it actually gets posted. Apparently some have never made a payment online. You get a confirmation of your payment and it states the date you enter your payment is the date you paid it. Now if you have a check floating around in the mail, that would be a different story. However, if a check has been received BY the due date, it is considered on time according to the fine print - even if it hasn't posted. The OP did not specify the circumstances, but she did say that it was incorrect. If it had not posted, that did not necessarily mean she did not make her payment on time.
The exception would be if you have a bill that specifically states it has to be posted by the due date, and I've never seen one of those.

You have joint cc accounts. If your cc account is not joint, neither spouse's cc info will show up on the other's report.
And the OP didn't say she didn't pay her bill on time. Maybe you should stick to reading reviews and letting everyone know how stupid they are.

I expect that when you signed up for an online account, you agreed in one way or another to abide by the seller's policies and guidelines. Which probably covered the situation you're upset about.

Hello, whezy.
Sorry for the "warm" welcome you received. It's not you. Many here are probably just grumpy/having a bad day and take it out others. Don't ask me why because even I haven't figured it out. But the snark has nothing to do with you.
Anyway, hope things work out for you.
