Red or Yukon Gold - I think they hold together better so you have chunks of potato instead of "mashed" potato salad, which I usually wind up with if I use Russets, because I forget and overcook them!

I use Idahos for regular potato salad and Red Bliss or New Potatoes for when I use the same recipe but want to add extra color to the salad.

Russets or Idaho and they are the only two kinds I ever buy.

Usually Russet or Idaho. But recently I had some New Potatoes so I tried them,turned out delicious!

Small reds, fingerlings or Yukon Golds. The only potato salads I make or eat are those with vinagrette type dressings. I can't stand mayo or yellow mustard.
