Yes, you'd better. Croemer doesn't like many people, you know.....

In my mind, they go together. "And the Truth Will Set you Free".

No, I would rather have both.

Of course they are sometimes mutually exclusive. Sometimes to tell someone the truth would lead to unhappiness and misery for one or both people. You just can't always go around telling people ""the truth."" You could destroy a lot of lives that way.

Implicit in the question is that you can't have one without the other.
Which I don't think is true.
So I don't understand the question.

since I believe that you can have happiness and truth at the same time, I don't think I need to really choose.
truth is very important though. even if the truth might make you unhappy for the moment, in the long run, it will not.
You cannot truly have control over your own path unless you know the truth.

Isn't the problem with that old saw how few people know the next line?
Ignorance is bliss - when 'tis folly to be wise.
I'd love to have the power always to know the right time for each.

Ah but that would require true wisdom, would it not? And one cannot be truly wise without truth.
