Article on the Daily Mail today.

The man who sews with his toes: Indian tailor creates bespoke garments… despite not having any ARMS

Madan Lal, 45, from Haryana, India, was born without arms

As a youngster he was denied entry to school on account of his disability

He decided to become a tailor but found it difficult to find someone to train him

After eventually finding a teacher Mr Lal learnt his trade in just one year

Now he owns his own shop and is something of a hero in his local village

Speaking of growing up with his disability Mr Lal explained: 'It didn't bother me during my childhood. My grandparents used to take care of me and help me with daily chores.'

But he did encounter prejudice towards his disability outside of his family circle. He said: 'When I was young almost every school denied me admission because of my disability. The teachers refused to admit me into the school.

'I was disappointed and thought that I will show them by achieving something. 'My family couldn't afford to educate me, and I thought that the government wouldn't help me either. So I'll have to do something to survive in this life.'

Thanks for posting this!  Truly an inspiration.

I really wish we could do a better job of teaching kids that attitude is so very important.  We don't have to be victims and there is so much we can do - even in unfortunate circumstances.

You said it, @Big Sister!  Things that we think are problems like wrinkles, age spots, sagging arms!

Let's count our blessings.  I bet this guy does!  Very humbling.
