When the Gamers forum was established the activity level was so high that it blocked out all the other forum activity. There were a lot of complaints so it was separated from the other forums. Anyone can join at any time if you make a request to the Mods. It will then appear on the list of forums on the left. The forums have worked a lot better that way.
I'm not a participant and ever since I heard that they hid this forum, I've been wondering how or why a forum would bother anyone who chose not to participate. I think I finally realize. Is it because if you look at "new forum posts" almost the whole thing is games? I never look at that page so I didn't get it.
