Where is everyone going?

I went out in my car today for the first time since April 1st. I couldn't believe how many cars were on the road. There was a line for Starbucks drive through that was serveral blocks long. Where the heck are all these people going?! Stay home for goodness sake!

People have to go buy groceries, go the the pharmacies, doctors appt, hospital, carry outs are open as drive thru's, some people just go for a ride to get out of the house.

People need to do something to keep their sanity. If you are in your car you are not threat to anyone.

I had to go to Costco for the first time in months earlier this week to pick up my meds.

While the store was not crowded at all, the highway certainly was at mid afternoon.

Not as bad @5pm on my return. It was one of the few nice days. For sure everyone has cabin fever big time by now, especially since the weather is getting nicer in many places.

Slightly warmer here; I would not call it "nice", though

If I did not live alone I wold likely have to get in my car and drive around occasionally just to have some solitude.

@ninjawife OMG! That's exactly what I've been saying and just posted somewhere else here.

It's like that here in Northern Va. My daughter lives in Fairfax county and when I went to the Drs up that way there was no one on the road.

However as I got closer to where I live it was almost like rush hour traffic.

Many of the stores are closed around here, same for restaurants. Home Depot and Walmart are open like everywhere else, otherwise, I wonder where these people are going.

To pick up a RX. My point was that so many people were out and about that they can't all be going somewhere essential. Like I said Starbucks line was blocks long, that isn't esstential.
