You will also hear about taking a heavy clothing item to those chilly night football games. Personally, I'd like to hear a good description of the item and then I'll figure out where to wear it.

Pumpkin patches, apple picking, farmers markets are ɓig out here in WA state too. Went with my two boys when they were little and have gone with my grandbabies too. BUT I never bought a special outfit to go to these places. I was more concerned about not losing track of the kids, staying warm and remembering where I parked the suv.

Heaven's to Betsy, we're in blueberry and apple picking area here.  You should see the corn fields.  There's nothing like, the smell of apple cider and McIntosh apples, freshly picked in the open air, old, barns here.  They have plenty of pumpkins to go buy, and do hayrides, and in winter, there's hay rides to get freshly cut pine trees for Christmas if you do that.  We're in a great area.  There's still so many things for families to do.

Add farmer's markets galore around here too. We''re very blesses.

I've picked apples,strawberries, blueberries, cherries, and pumpkins.

Every year, we'd go to the tree farm, choose our Christmas tree, cut it down and take it to the machine that wrapped it with twine.

Re: Where Will You Wear . . .?

To be honest every October I do go to a pumpkin farm and pick out a pumpkin and do a hay rack ride.  I belong to an organization that puts this on for the families.  I enjoy it but they pay so like it even better.  If not for that I doubt I would be going otherwise.

I did go  apple picking once and took the grandkid's and it was fun but only did it once.  I enjoyed it but rather expensive as well.  Nice day out.

I do enjoy these things but if not for the kids probably wouldn't do.

Now this organization  also does beer tasting once a year and then a wine tasting too.  Adults only of course but fun as well.

I do think about what I want to wear but do that for any place I go. Only time I like a special outfit is for a wedding or a class reunion.

I do get they have to say something but I am sure people doing lots more that picking fruit.

@AuntG

 agree,  give me  dimensions on items - leg widths , waist measurements  and legnths on various sizes .

 My experience is  whenever you go pumpkin or apple picking  or berry picking  , dress in layers as it's can be cool in the am then hot by afternoon  in the fall. Also uneven ground  that can be dusty so wear shoes that cover your feet  or can be washed  or wiped off.
