Gatorland has a "snake pit" where you walk around the outside and the snakes are in their natural habitat. I took the kids when they were young..but old enough to be aware. You could see them hidden like this or laying next to a tree root, or in a tree.

Really an eyeopener! They are so camouflaged in the woods or your yard.
