@magicmoodzplease take another look at the first post and read the WHOLE thing. She states the Complete Original saying in it. You and others are just repeating part of that quote and that is her point. It is being repeated Wrong.

I'm one of those that quote it incorrectly (just looked it up) and will probably continue to do so. I appreciate the origins but the correct way just sound weird and if I did do so, I bet most will say huh? Kinda 'Play it again Sam' was never uttered in the movie and it was 'Play it, Sam' which hits all the wrong notes for me.
The boards must drive you nuts with misspellied words and grammar or is it only proverbs? What gets me crazy is your / you're, there / their but the cringe is only a nano second so it isn't too painful.

It’s interesting to know about the original proverb. However, I like the revised one better even though it’s incorrect. When something becomes so engrained in our lexicon when does it become a new or second proverb?
Love the squirrels by the way. They always make me laugh.
