My dog always gets an adjustment at his check ups.  It is a real thing, and yes, you can often hear the cracks.  My guy doesn't seem to mind it at all.

I don't have a picture, but a funny story that everyone can laugh at. I got up a couple nights ago to  go to the bathroom, and I passed my sweet little guy, Spencer, who was sleeping on a pile of pillows on the floor by my bed. I sat on the floor to pet him, and was telling him how sweet he is and what a good boy and how soft he is, etc Then I noticed that he seemed a little shorter, so I looked more carefully - it was NOT Spencer at all, but it was a plush dog toy my other dog had thrown on the floor!

@Lisa now in AZ   Oh, I loved your story.  So funny and cute!  It reminds me of one time when I was in my mothers backyard and she had a tree in the far corner of the yard.  She said, "Oh look at that cute little bunny over there".  Sadly, I had to let her know it was a rat!!

The last dog I had before this latest crew of Spencer and Ginger, who was just amazing, was named Waffles. I still miss him.
