Re: When you bathe, do you use a bar of soap or body wash?

Romary, you know, I think they probably do! They probably just don't care.

Not to give too much info, but I do what you do. I don't like my soap soggy, either! But I use shower gel, mostly Amazing Grace any way.

'Seems to me' that hair, and sticky soap can clog the shower and/or tub drain..........I don't know for sure, though. Easier to wipe my soap and toss the tissue/small piece of paper towel in the waste paper basket, if it's too soapy thick and/or hairy. Also, I wipe my tub and drain clean after each bath; hence, the small-ish paper towels in the bathroom..........lol..........{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes} (rolling eyes on this one!)

Well, getting back to O/P, I'm thinking that the other family/whatever members can, at the very least, 'try' to half-way please and respect the O/P. 'Doesn't cost a penny' to at least try to be nice to the folks we are living with. JMO Smile

We were taught to do that as kids (when we were able), as well. Clean off the soap, clean the tub/shower, wipe down the walls so the next person isn't grossed out.

Am I alone in using an exfoliating bath sponge and not a wash cloth? Wash cloths seem very 1950s to me.

I used to use a pouf but went back to a washcloth a few years ago. I had a relative visiting here and they used my pouf. That did it. I want a clean wash cloth that gets bleached.

Yes, MarienKaefer2: I must have been taught the same, as it's something that I automatically have always done. Thanks, dearest mom........even though I don't remember having to be shown/told..........

Re: When you bathe, do you use a bar of soap or body wash?

I use liquid soap at all the sinks in the house.

In the showers, there is bar soap and bath gel. Bar soap sits in the shower caddy that drains, so it's never soggy. I have never seen a hair in it, thankfully.

We all use a clean wash cloth every shower.

Interesting thread...

I wipe/clean and/or pat dry my bar soap with tissue (toilet paper) and toss in the toilet. Nothing sticks. But a roll of paper towels (cut in half with a saw) or, actually inexpensive paper napkins (cut in half/quarters, to save on paper products) might work just as well. Anyway, if I can/do clean my bar soap, then everybody else can......lol.........Actually, I clean and dry off my bar soaps mostly because I don't like them to remain 'soggy'. {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

You clean and dry off your soap? Does everybody in your household do that too?

Re: When you bathe, do you use a bar of soap or body wash?

Both use a nice body wash and always finish off with my dove soap!!

I think dove soap and baby oil has kept my skin fantastic..I am not 50 yet ..and worshipped the sun ..those coppertone days lol...I have no wrinkles yet...and I think it is to great genes and the simple products.

Since I was 13..I have used baby oil taking off my makeup and before I dry off..I read in one of my teen mags years ago..don't reach for the towel...reach for the baby oil first.

I lather up a pouffe or pouf or puff lol....with body wash then the dove soap.

thank goodness the master bath off the bedroom is mine so to speak..I am the only one to use the shower and products..

Re: When you bathe, do you use a bar of soap or body wash?

I only shower and I use a bar of soap. Now if I wished I would have my choice of at least 10 different shower washes or many flavors and smells. I put in a shower caddy for my wife but she still has a bottle of something on every available space of the bathtub/shower. I will stick with my bar of Dial Soap thank you.
