When quoting multiple posts....

..... sometimes it's hard to tell where one ends and the new response begins.  Methinks the boxes were better....thinking

Re: When quoting multiple posts....

I have a heck of a time trying to figure out who said what. And they should keep the OP at the top of the page. I keep having to scroll down because I have oldest posts at the bottom of my page.

I totally agree!!  We need boxes or shading.

Just from what I've noticed, I could be wrong, but they seem to lighten the other responses or quotes. The darkest one at the bottom is the newest comments. There's grey lines down the left side by other's remarks. See what you think, that's my guess.

Re: When quoting multiple posts....

They should have left the boxes, or put something new in to better differentiate one post from another.

But, since they didn't, what I do is, if I quote a post, I divide my reponse from their post myself, by putting in a line between them, like this:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hopefully they will rectify this, but in the meantime it's easy to do it yourself, and it makes it so much clearer to the reader, who wrote what.
You're right about that.  But I find, when doing a quick read, I have to go back and check those verticle gey lines a lot.
That's a good idea.  Maybe they'll get the hint and do it for us.
If I remember, I try to change the font color (like I did above) of the post I'm quoting and place quite a few spaces between the quote and my answer. It does help a bit, I think.
I agree, when we had the quotes in boxes it was easier to follow.
Changing the font color is a good idea; too bad we can't set it to a color we like. I do the extra space thing when I remember, I think that helps too.
