In a perfect world where I had unlimited cash I would keep my house at 74 to 76. But alas I do not and to add insult to injury I have a very greedy gas company to contend with whose rates are really high. (Small two bedroom house temp set on 68 degress = $400 gas bill).
So this year a bunch of my friends and I have created the "65 challenge" You are under no circumstances allowed to go higher. Electric blankets, space heaters, extra clothes...ect. all allowed but you cant touch the thermostat. I refuse to give any more of my money to the greedy gas company than I already have to!
-also thought it might be only fair to add that my house has high ceilings. (All rooms are at least 10 feet and my kitchen is 12)
So what do you keep your theromstat at?
