Re: When do you start decorating for fall?

End of Sept. I start. I get absolutely huge mums from my local garden center. They are absolutely huge and I put them on my front porch and side entrance. I do huge pumpkins, cornstalks, gourds, leaf garland in the autumn colors and a beautiful autumn themed festoon.

Re: When do you start decorating for fall?

I jumped the gun a bit and did it last weekend.

I think I am beginning to like Fall and Harvest decor better than the Winter season. I have pumpkins, fall leaves, fall flowers and some beautiful witches. I'll put some Halloween type things on my front porch later in September. I'm burning Fall candles and loving it.

I've already started..........running across a couple of autumn decorating shows. VPH, etc.

Re: When do you start decorating for fall?

Labor Day ends and the fall holiday decorating begins. I like to enjoy each event as much as possible, but when it is over it is over get it down. I have seen some Christmas wreaths still on doors and windows at Valentine's Day. No one is that busy.

Maybe it's a Valerie Parr Hill balsam wreath. They're meant to last until Valentine's Day.{#emotions_dlg.unsure}

Re: When do you start decorating for fall?

I put some Fall flowers in vases around the house, and some (fake) pumpkins in the house, as well as Mums on the porch. And I change my garden flag. Usually I do all of that around the 3rd week in September. Then I decorate more for Halloween a few weeks before Halloween.

Re: When do you start decorating for fall?

I'll start a few days before fall begins...mid September. We still have about another month of summer.
