Re: When do you know it's time to leave?

When they turn off all the lights and go to their bedrooms....you know it's time to leave.

When do you know it's time to leave?  How long do you usually stay?

About 2 minutes after they start yawning.

If it is in laws you don't like ---Just don't go.  Saves money on aspirin.  If it is your family,  would just say hey guys I am bored so I need to leave.  Or Q has a great Dooney show on tonight and I don't want to miss it.    lololo

Re: When do you know it's time to leave?

There is no set time to leave. Our families don't live here. They are 1 hour to 2 hours away depending which ones. We play it by ear. I guess usually it's an hour or so after dinner. But at Christmas we go early and stay a bit later to open gifts. If we host Christmas Eve (with my family) they come early and stay longer after dinner too.

Anyway, I'm surprised at how many people on here seem glad to get away from certain members of their families. There is no one in our families that annoy us that we want to get away from them at holidays or any other days.

My family lives far away from me.  I wish I had this "problem".

Re: When do you know it's time to leave?

I just remembered my uncle....when he wanted people to leave he would say...."its picking up hat time"...and he would go into his bedroom...leaving eveyone sitting there...hahaha...

I had a grandma ...who when she was ready to hang up from talking on the phone...she would say..."theres someone at the door"...and she would hang up...no goodbye..talk to you soon...nothing..just a click of the phone...haha....

Re: When do you know it's time to leave?

Unlike the others, I am more curious as to why one would ask this question.  Are you truly looking for an answer so you know when to leave?  Is this a general  survey?
