A McDonald’s Chicken McNugget sold for nearly $100,000 on eBay on Friday because of its uncanny likeness to a video game character.

The nugget came from a meal package that was done in partnership between McDonald’s and the South Korean pop band BTS. The seller found it resembled a character from Among Us, an online multiplayer game.

The user, who goes by the name Polizna, told CNET the nugget has an "unmistakable correlation with the actual character, even including an odd bump on the back that would represent the backpack."

Originally listed for only $0.99, after 184 bids, it sold for $99,997.

“I had figured it would get somewhere around $50 but nothing like this,” Polizna said.

Whenever I see something like what this person did, I think of all of the people that could have been helped. 

The possibilites that are lost are so sad, although, the buyer wouldn't have likely donated.

The money simply transferred hands.....now the seller has it....not "thrown away"

Well...we all have probably bought something that others thought was silly. I don't like to judge people for how they spend their money, because it's not my business...

But almost $100K for a McNugget?! 🤔😱

ITA ....  at least the money is still within the U.S. economy, moving around and transferring accounts .... not a bad thing, by any means.
