Mahalo, MrsSweetieBear! I wasn't sure what I thought until I read your posts. Thanks for the local insight. This is so terribly worrisome.

I didn't believe that story from the get go - LOL
I immediately thought of Balloon Boy, too Brii!
I'm finding this hard to believe...

Baggage holds are generally somewhat more survivable than wheel wells and reasonably accessible from outside. I would expect him to have pretty severe frostbite if he was in the wheel well that long.
Oh, that's a good point Gardenman! One would expect severe frost bite after being exposed to 80 below weather..

That is EXACTLY what I told my husband a few weeks ago as we watched the news. And I was serious too.
GMTA!
Israel has the best plane/airport security on this planet. We need to aim for that standard and get someone who can do the job for us since we've had 13 years and have obviously fumbled the ball.
It's impossible to keep all threats from happening.
Israel has a lot of bombings and other terror events. They just clean up and get on with their lives.
Threats, yes, it's the attacks I worry about. Israel can't protect their entire country but their airports and planes are known for their high standards of security. Why wouldn't we want that?

Mahalo back to you dBd. Nice to be seen.
I guess everyone else must have me on Ignore.

An excellent idea. We certainly are lagging behind in this area.

I was kind of wondering about that myself!
I appreciate the local ""inside info"" you provided.

According to Post #47 he was definitely in the wheel well. And based on the reports I've seen, there's no way to move from the wheel well into the cargo area (mind you, I'm no aviation expert). Once you're there, you're there for the entire flight. As reported in other posts on this thread (and in the news) there have been cases in which people did survive in the wheel well.
