We should consider hiring a security team of women and men who planned and created security for the planes and airports in Israel. I am totally serious.

That is EXACTLY what I told my husband a few weeks ago as we watched the news. And I was serious too.

GMTA!

Israel has the best plane/airport security on this planet. We need to aim for that standard and get someone who can do the job for us since we've had 13 years and have obviously fumbled the ball.

Have to agree, though it's been my understanding that they have multiple checkpoints beginning with simply getting onto airport grounds. Sooo, you know what that would mean in the U.S. Yup, you got it. It'll be all about the $$$$. As it is now, TSA pay isn't all that great & that's blown up in our faces hasn't it?

We're either going to have to pay for it, or continue dealing with terrorist threats and attacks.

It's impossible to keep all threats from happening.

Israel has a lot of bombings and other terror events. They just clean up and get on with their lives.

The reason I am still somewhat skeptical about this story is the fact that evidently he didn't even need medical attention. THe story I posted above said that one survivor of a flight that long was in very bad shape.

I agree with Noel about Israeli type security. However, I doubt it would be allowed in our country because they do "profile" and do other things that wouldn't jive with our system of government?

In 1993 I flew to Barcelona and the plane was stopped on the runway, not quite at the gate. Outside there were soldiers standing there .... holding machine guns. Standard Operating Procedure, I was told by the flight attendant.

One thing I noticed is that seeing those soldiers with the guns puts all the passengers in a nice, polite and cooperative mood REAL fast! {#emotions_dlg.scared}

He was taken to a hospital and kept overnight. He was very lucky.

If you do not believe the story, how do you think he ended up in Hawaii? News reports said he is security jumping the fence. He arrived in Hawaii and was found to be in poor condition.

Yes, it's true, sigh. I know people who work at the airport and were there. There are even pictures of his shoe prints inside the greasy wheel well.

Well, since you quoted me, I'll reply. I don't have the slightest idea how he got there. Smile
