What would you have done?

A woman who I work with closely( retail sales) wears these antlers with jingle bells on her head during the holiday time.{#emotions_dlg.huh}( whatever floats your boat...) Last year I had to listen to the bells jingle for 8 hours a day day in and day out for over a month while she wore her antlers everyday at work. Yesterday when she came to work WITH THE ANTLERS ON ready for another holiday season.... a politely asked her if she would mind cutting the jingle bells off the antlers this year as the bells constantly jingling for hours upon hours really gets to me and gives me a head ache. She complied and cut off the bells- wore her antlers all day--- no jingle jingle jingle.{#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

What would you have done? I felt a little bad asking her to take off the bells... but I feel it is better to be direct and honest with a coworker rather than feel upset and holding it back. I have to work with her... I do not love her... my relationship is only work. But you know... it it had been my husband I would have said the same darn thing!{#emotions_dlg.laugh}
