What would I do? If I really wanted it I would just get it and enjoy. I've never heard of this ham before and now I'm curious to give it a taste. I was in Philly just yesterday visiting with both of my kids...one lives in Queen Village and the other in Northern Liberties.

i think the most expensive deli lunch meat i have ever bought was prosciutto di parma.....and that was 30.00 a pound.
i have to get my daughter to stop into dibruno bros OR ask her if she had a chance to try this in spain when she was there for a semester. they ate a lot of pork products.

If she walked by enough times she could get enough samples to make a sandwich.
I wish they still would give out samples, but they were a one time deal.

$25.95 for 1/4 pound! That comes to about $100.00 which is the price it was a year ago in my store too.

CLEM ... If you want it and can afford it, then do it! We all need a splurge once in a while. Freeze a little and serve yourself a treat once in a while. No different than spending a fortune on fancy coffees or decedant desserts.

Preds, you are right. I might get an ounce and savor it.
