Oh, I love Monster Mash!   What fun song with a catchy tune.  Smiley Very Happy

I think the last thing I listened to was this cover of 'The Sound of Silence' by a group called 'Disturbed'.   It is hauntingly beautiful and brilliantly done.   I've probably listened to it 15 or 20 times since a friend from another board turned me on to it.

I agree @chickenbutt!   Disturbed’s rendition of “The Sound of Silence” is magnificent, and I read that Paul Simon gave it his blessing.

There’s a video online of the live performance on Conan O’Brien’s show that is incredibly powerful.

You know there's a lot that goes by the front door
Don't forget the keys under the mat
Childhood stars shine, always stay humble and kind

Go to church 'cause your momma says to
Visit grandpa every chance that you can
It won't be a waste of time
Always stay humble and kind

Hold the door say please say thank you
Don't steal, don't cheat, and don't lie
I know you got moutains to climb but
Always stay humble and kind

When the dreams you're dreamin' come to you
When the work you put in is realized
Let yourself feel the pride but
Always stay humble and kind

Don't expect a free ride from no one
Don't hold a grudge or a chip and here's why
Bitterness keeps you from flying
Always stay humble and kind

Know the difference between sleeping with someone
And sleeping with someone you love
I love you ain't no pick up line so
Always stay humble and kind

Hold the door say please say thank you
Don't steal, don't cheat, and don't lie
I know you got moutains to climb but
Always stay humble and kind

When those dreams you're dreamin' come to you
When the work you put in is realized
Let yourself feel the pride but
Always stay humble and kind

When it's hot, eat a root beer, a popsicle
Shut off the AC and roll the windows down
Let that summer sun shine
Always stay humble and kind

Don't take for granted the love this life gives you
When you get where you're goin'
Don't forget turn back around
Help the next one in line
Always stay humble and kind

And each road leads you where you wanna go,
And if you're faced with a choice, and you have to choose,
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you.
And if one door opens to another door closed,
I hope you keep on walkin' till you find the window,
If it's cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile.
But more than anything, more than anything

My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.

I hope you never look back, but you never forget,
All the ones who love you, in the place you live,
I hope you always forgive, and you never regret,
And you help somebody every chance you get,
Oh, you find God's grace, in every mistake,
And always give more than you take.
But more than anything, yeah, more than anything

My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,

@dmod nj  Hi Donna:  Sure did enjoy the games!!  Too bad some idiot had to damage the trophy.  Grrrrr.

Those lines have so much meaning, I agree. DH is making a CD for grandson and this song is the first he recorded.  He writes some of his own, too.  House looks like a recording studio but without the studio.  LOL

@Teddie-

I love everything Lauren Daigle sings too.

My favorite is I will Trust in You.

I listen to that so much.

Re: What was the last tune you listened to lately?

@chickenbutt-

Wow-I just went to listen to this "Sound of Silence" by Disturbed and he has a beautiful powerful voice.

But that is one of the darkest videos I think I've seen!

Though I do know that sometimes that kind really has a lot of meaning sometimes.

I listen to Hallelujah (all versions) and cry everytime!

I am listening to a lot that I'm reading here to see what they are like, so @Susan Louise-

thanks for starting thisSmiley Happy

Re: What was the last tune you listened to lately?

Sometimes for me it's the music even more than the words that can be so moving.

For example-

Handel's Hallelujah chorus!

So glorious! I blast it on the radio. I have the cd.

Also Light my Fire by the Doors-Have to turn that all the way up too!

Wake Me Up When It's all Over -Aviici (and I was so sad to know he died so young).
