I was at my parents house this morning and brought home all of my mother's silver serving pieces. I separated the sterling and silver plate. I know I can sell the sterling pieces if we choose to do that- that's easy.
What can you do with silver plated items? She had many trays, platters, bowls, candy dishes, etc. None of them in good enough shape to really try to sell on Ebay or Craig's List or anything like that. While they're in "good enough" shape, I think the effort to sell them would be more than what they'd bring, if they sold at all.
So, are silver plated items donate to Goodwill, etc. type of items? Anyone have experience with this?
