An older lady was going door to door asking to cut people's lawns. Since it's so hot here, I thought "why not" but it's been so dry here she was going to do it in a couple of weeks. I know she lives in the neighborhood because I see her walking all the time. She has to be at least 65. She noticed I was a smoker & asked for a cigarette. Same thing a few days later. Also called me & said she had no cat food for her 4 cats & could she bring a baggie over & get some. Okay, I said yes. Then yesterday she again showed up at my door & asked if I could advance her $10 & she would cut the grass next week & again asked for a cigarette. I said no to the cigarette & told her I couldn't advance her any money but she could go ahead & cut the grass & earn some money. She did a very good job. Now do I keep on letting her the grass or what do I do with her? It's pretty hard to find anyone to cut grass around here, but it's hard to believe she's that poor. She owns a bigger house than mine a block away. I guess I'm too kind hearted & would hate to think she needs money that bad for food, etc.
