Re: What statistics would you like the news to report on?

Actually I would like it if the news would report on some positive or inspiring stories a little more often.  Everytime I put on the news, it's violence and bad news.  With Covid and the pandemic on top of that, it feels more like doom and gloom overload.

I don't watch what passes for "the news" on TV. Journalism has been dead for many years.

It isn't necessary anymore, much easier, faster, and more reliable news sources and outlets.

Monthly, and Weekly Percentage of COVID deaths broken down by exact comorbidities, including obesity and BMI classification, vaccination status and which vaccines, biological s ex,  amount of time  from last vaccination and counties where the deaths occurred. Same for hospitalizations.

Or something silly or happy you like that has a website for a daily smile! Some comics have sites or combined comic strip sites are always happy to browse for me.

Goldengate83611 @I'd like to see this reported in writing once every three months at the CDC site and reviewed orally in news reports. Time between these reports is essential in order for individual deaths to get tox screens returned to county coroners. I'd like these reports by age and se x. I'd like much more added in the way of demographic breakdown and variables about individuals included in these breakdowns on the CDC page to accompany the reports. I'd also like to see time out from last vaccination and positive COVID test.

I'm tired of hearing it all!   I do listen to the first 15 minutes of local news twice a day, and let it go at that.

Where is Walter Cronkite when you need him? That was before the news was part of the entertainment division. No " alternative facts" for Cronkite.
