Re: What's your favorite thing to see every summer?

I know this is corny but (for a little while, at least) people in the Spring (as the weather turns warmer) are in a better mood and smile, I love to see the smiles.

I also love the way everything is so green!  I mean really green.  All of the trees and plants I've been walking past all Winter suddenly turn from brown and dead into flowers and beautiful green leaves!

I was just telling the Verizon guy Friday that I cannot understand how anyone could not believe in GOD when we see, smell and think of all of the amazing things we've been given to enjoy.

I mean somehow it all got here....didn't it?  Hummm???

I love the sounds of summer:

When I lay out at the pool of my gym, I love to hear the sounds

of little kids giggling/laughing & the splashing of the fountains in the

pool area.

Here in Texas, the weather is fairly consistent year round, but once

the pool opens (Memorial Day-Labor Day), it’s officially ‘summer’

and the kids are out & about!

I eagerly wait for the return of my hummingbirds, I just love to watch them.  Also, My big Cleomes line my pathway and I love to see them.

The beach!  I love the beach in the summer, I prefer the early morning or at dusk.  The warm sand, the smell of the ocean the way the sky looks when the sun is coming up or going down.  We're fortunate in that we live a short drive away from the beach.

Re: What's your favorite thing to see every summer?

I love to work in the yard in the spring and summer.  I have been planting annuals in pots for front and backyard.  Cut lilacs this morning for a big bouquet in my living room - love that fragrance.  The birds are all busy making their nests.  I bought 6-paks of geraniums at Costco - they were on the table in backyard for a couple of weeks - I went to plant them yesterday and there was an unused bird nest in them. Making another trip to the nursery on Friday to hopefully finish up.

I don't like the heat, but I love it when everthing is green and growing again. When the birds are singing and wildlife is moving around again in the woods.
