PRACTICE.
I'm the one who got this going, so feel a comment is in order.
Note: My piece addressed university level Music Majors who had been studying music for years: some, like myself, since the age of 4. One would think that your statement is a given, a truism, a simply must-be. However, what I stated was true, contrary to what you have stated. Our 2 yeas of "Sight Singing and Ear Training" was incredibly difficult for many music majors. The worst in my class was a tuba major who was tone deaf and could not sight sing, as we were all required to do. He actually flunked the course. Even though one plays an instrument, it is deemed incumbent upon the Music Major to sight sing.
In concert with this 2 year course, we were also required to take "Rhythmic Dictation." Now THAT was difficult and something I found very challenging.

Dear lovestoteach,
How very 'smart of you' __to absolutely KNOW exactly what I had printed out in detail, as a FACT, being witness to. YES!!!!
I am not on that often and when I am, I am quite thought provoking WITH truth.
Unfortunately, tmi is hushed up. This place is no better than what I tried to explain.
Justice? No, I do not believe, no, not for one nano second.
BUT! I will go as far as I can...and ask that anyone having a loved one or even 'A' stranger/volunteer, keep a vigil eye opened at all -( ALL) times. We need smart observing patient being that volunteers-more___*than ever*!
I have a keen sense of reservations, here...DEFINITELY...... scary stuff having no voice for something so important. Death. No one will ever know. I told it all. Flipped off like a gnat. Who are the GUARDS watching the G U A R D S? ....and I do mean. HERE!
There is a new report coming out soon, instigated by one very concerned senator. TODAY. This is at an all time level, now, and is under the most extreme investigations. That was what I was doing, so hopefully my reports were of great value. I am willing to stick my head out to make a wrong in to- a 100% act of JUSTICE. Most citizens have no idea what is happening.
Sending you a big Thank You with a hug of appreciation. NAES!

Well, I would say , back when I just turned 16 and my parents decided to move from New York to Texas, I went out the night before we were leaving the state with a group of my closest friends and my boyfriend - he did not want me to leave, he said I could move in with him and his Mom - well, I practically stayed out all night and then decided I could not hurt my Mother that way and went home. We left New York the next day and I have never regretted coming home that night - sure, I missed my boyfriend and friends for a long time - but, as I made new friends - they were just becoming a thing of the past. That is the smartest decision I ever made - my life would be totally different if I would of stayed - and, I am happy with my life the way it turned out - to me the past is the past, you can't look back and say what if... ![]()

To take a chance on risky but life changing surgery...It did make a difference and change my life for the better, but it was scary as heck at the time. This was 14 years ago.

Brilliantly spoken. We all have our views. That is why we are considered a free country. . As I have stated so many times, if we all thought alike we would be living in a world similar to that of The Stepford Wives. I agree with you in that I always listen to others point of view because I realize everyday is a learning experience which I gain knowledge from others. I might not agree with someones point of view or way of life but I still respect the person. This is a lesson I know many people could take advice from. Tunnel Vision is a bad trait when one thinks their way is the only way.

Hello Moroco,
I post for very few quality subjects, and reply was in the Top Answers, To _have the ability to be intelligent enough to *Get* out of yourself and show the beauty in what one single person can do for someone else.
You are a shining star in my soul to unselfishly bring absolute LOVE , being a companion to another, even for a few hours.
I have a memory that (usually) can 'not' forget names, subjects/contents...et cetra, but I do know you. Your posts are to th point, never chit chatty or borIng. wholesomely, to say the most!
I am so proud of anyone who never forgets the tossed 'ones' put in nursing facilities.
Most of today's society have no room in their lives to be bothered by an elderly or forgotten person who at one time was full of life with hopes and dreams- full of vigor.
They, the nursing home patients who have no one /family/neighbor to take the time to come and visit...any degree of tokenism to say "I care"! How do I know this? I do visit patients, shut-a-ways. I see this all of this quite frequently, when I make involution surprise investigation rounds: ro:
a medical teaching instructor and a good Samaritan.
I will salute you, even if not one person reads this.
You, my dear, are one of the *GOOD ONES*
God bless Moroco and other loving people in this world like her!
NAES.....all the way

I have done so now for over 20 years that is just come naturally and easy to find someone or a group to help. It does NOT have to cost money!! Time spend with an elderly person with no relatives is a great way to start this if anyone is interested. The local nursing home will work with you on finding you a patient that does not have visitors. Just one example and there are many more that we can do to make the life of someone much richer and happier.
Thank you so very much my friend. Your kindness has made my day. As I tell my children, smile or make a nice statement to each person you pass in a day (it only takes a second) and it may be what makes that person's day special. GOOD EXAMPLE, your kindness has made me smile from ear to ear. We may be in cyberspace but I know you have a huge heart as many people here do.
