@Huge Hannah  Warm regards.  Just relax and you'll be fine.

There are lots of nice, helpful, usually thoughtful, folks here.  Cruise around and read the various topics to get a feel for people and what interests you.

And, yes, as others have mentioned, DO be sure to read through the Welcome Get Started item that will detail the guidelines of do's and don'ts fairly clearly.

Sometimes you don't have to start a new topic but can instead use the search bar within forums using key words to find older threads that might have answers for you.

I use it a lot when I'm looking for a particular recipe, say stuffing, and it is amazing how much will appear from prior year postings.

In the beginning I "lurked" a lot here--just read and seldom posted.  Now I'm retired, have a computer at home (yay!) and have relocated to be near my children and grandsons.

Again, welcome aboard and feel free to explore and participate--you might have the exact tip or "take" someone is looking for!

Welcome!

It helps that your first post is not a scorch-the-earth complaint about shipping, prices, hosts hair, repetitive products, David's happy dance, or WEN making your hair fall out.

@Huge Hannah

Be careful about searching for older threads, if the thread is over a year old it is against Standards, to 'bump it up'and it will be deleted.

Better to start your own new thread, if the most recent thread about the same subject is over a year old.

Just trying to be helpful!

Hi @Huge Hannah    Welcome to the forums!   You can edit any post in most cases...   after posting.  Just click on the far right corner of the post( the three dots.... and look for edit.  You can also delete a post in most cases.

There is a spell check too ( click on ABC above).  It works in most cases as well.
Sometimes it does not..... but in most cases it works.

Some posters are highly critical...  but I think most   of us do not discriminate  for bad spelling etc....  and if we can figure out a wrong word or spelling ... we just go with the flow.  Most people here are very nice  and friendly!

Many of us are retired here.   Be sure to go to the pet forums and introduce yourself also!  We pet lovers love to see pictures of our  fur babies and other's fur babies and brag a bit here and there.... there is also lots of good info on pets shared and well as you can ask questions if you have any about your kitties!

Enjoy your stay.  Watch out as these forums become addictive and you will be spending hours a day here Smiley Happy

Welcome aboard "Big Hannah"......  Happy you're with us.  Have fun.

I too am retired.  Live in the county of St. Louis, MO.  Have lived here since I was 17.  So, this is home to me.  Don't have any children, so therefore no grands.....  Have been married twice, and that was enough for me.  Will be 79 in May.

Fortunately I do have one cat.......Mr. Lucky......  He has been a God send to me.  A lot of fun.

Am an avid St. Louis Cardinals' fan.

As you are reading on here, you will get familiar with the regular posters.  We do have QVC Moderators that work hard at keeping us in line.  One word of caution, do not post anything political.....it won't work on here.  And, be careful when posting anything about the hosts or vendors.

Have fun, and looking forward to seeing your posts on here.  Good luck!
