What's the difference between Linear Layout and Topic Layout and

should they be oldest first or newest first. The default setting has one as oldest first and the other as newest first. I'm thinking they should both be newest first, no?

No matter what I chose it keeps changing back. I like the newest first but it will not stay.

The Linear layout is how the individual thread is displayed. I believe the Topic layout is how all the posts are displayed....at least that's what I figured out from playing with it.

I also have seen my preference settings revert back to the defaults. Next, I noticed I wasn't logged in any more. I log in again and my prefernces are back. I wish it would stop loging me out when I'm using the darn thing.
