dooBdoo, good to see you again! At least you saw my message to you before it went "poof", and I saw yours back to me before the same thing happened. I didn't see anything wrong with either of them - they weren't reposting the same topic, and I couldn't see anything against the "standards", but they went down in a flash! Strange happenings around here!

I'm going to find out more about American Winter (I guess I'm allowed to at least say that). That was such a great post.

I still can't figure out how they determine what stays and what goes, either with whole threads or individual posts. They say they are supposed to consider the context, but I just don't see that happening in a lot of cases. {#emotions_dlg.confused1}

BTW, there is one that has been up for quite a while now that has the word starting with "behea" and ending with "ding" in it - all the rest were taken down but it's still there. But we can't talk about wages.

Hi, there! I'm glad you saw my response!Smile American Winter is incredibly moving, educational, and I wish more folks knew about it and could see it. It's enlightening for all Americans and there's really nothing controversial about it, in my opinion. It's a story about us, our neighbors, our friends.

I've decided inconsistency in the threads that stay and those that go is incomprehensible.

I think sometimes confronting the real truth of what is happening in our country scares people, so they would rather ignore it.{#emotions_dlg.sad}

I don't have to point out that there are posters who point their fingers at others and make it a point to report them to the webbie. I think I made my point.

Speaking of ice cream, Turkey Hill's Deep Dark Chocolate (limited edition) is the nastiest color ever! But is good!

Black, grey purple color

Robust dark chocolate ice cream with melt-in-your-mouth chocolaty slivers.

Welcome to VP, AnnMarie. I've never seen Turkey Hill ice cream. It sounds sort of Martha Stewart-ish Smiley Happy

Thanks Tansy! I found it at Wegman's Grocery store here in the Northeast...and that is NOT the color like in this picture, more like a morbid color LOL

My Viewpoint on Trader Joe's Chile Spiced Mango is that it ROCKS!!!

I better not be bringing that stuff into the house every time I shop there......

What is it? tea?

It's dried mango slices covered in a chile spiced sugar.

OMG, it's delicious.

Sounds good, we have a Trader Joe's here, I will have to check them out

I think one problem is it debunks stereotypes and makes us think about how complicated the situation really is. Things aren't cut and dried, not easily solved. A good commentary on it: Steve Duin: A timely evening with 'American Winter.'

Where did you see that documentary, dooB. I didn't find it on my cable listings.
