@Pearlee- I used my coupon/check thing on Tuesday. My best friend drove over from about an hour and a half away and we went to Talbots and then lunch. Couldn't let that coupon thing go unused! I bought a great sweater in gray. Also used my birthday 15% off extra coupon with it. I bought something else also when we went, but absolutely can't remember what. Oh yeah.... just went and checked- a popover blouse that I bought in one color a few weeks ago. Bought it in another color. Just loved it.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Gidget ... it's dark and dreary, but somehow that just goes with a rainy day ... and cool to boot. The leaves are coming down with a vengeance ... and it's really too early for that ... they haven't changed color.

Hope you get your much-needed rain ... it's always something, isn't it?

Well, since the supposed HUGE STORM never happened here on the west coast other than rain, thankgoodness!!!.... I have power and will go to the store and stock up on food I did not want to buy last week worried that my power would be off for days and I would end up throwing it all out.

during the games i will throw in some laundry and do a little cleaning, organizing, and some paperwork. it was just the end of a quarter, so i have bill paying, tax paying, and filing to do.

As soon as I finish my oatmeal, I'm going to shut down my pc and head for the airport. Going to Vegas for a few days! Crowds will be large due to the Stones and the debate all happening while I'm there. Oh well, as long as I can find an open slot machine I will be happy.

Just got back from Flood torn North Carolina. Today am just reflecting how lucky I have it...in fact how lucky most are having it .....in contrast where strangers are expected to help and do help strangers in some areas there. So am just having my humble version of thanksgiving today and reflecting on the devastation I just saw....that many have already forgotten.
