To de-stress, I'll lay on the floor by my lab or my cats and just pet them and talk to them.
A glass of wine always helps, and a funny tv show (Seinfeld or Sex & the City) also does the trick and makes me forget my stress. And if all else fails, I'll go on the internet and find pics of George Clooney!

For me it yoga and meditation which I have practiced for the last forty plus years, also reading and a glass of wine in my quiet place.

I like to read. It can be online reading of something that I have been wanting to look up and read for awhile, or it can be a book or a magazine.
Watching a video or TV show, or watching something funny, like a funny video.
Listening to music. Depending on my mood, it can be relaxing music or dance music or classical music.

My first choice is to talk it out.

Walking around home decor stores like HL, Michael's, and At Home. I did it at the end of my work day today. I wander around and just collect ideas to make my home a nicer, warmer place. I love the holidays, so this is also a great time of year to do it. It just totally decompressed me. I also frequently go to lunch by myself at local, nice restaurants during my work week. While eating alone at restaurants is not ideal, doing it for lunch is actually really nice if you go at the end of when most people eat, and you sit at a corner table. It's less crowded, so you don't feel as awkward a you might if you were going during the lunch rush.

My dog "Halo" she knows instantly when I am stressed or in trouble and she is always there to comfort me. That is why I named her Halo, she is my little angel.

Hi @GCR18
Not an argument or anything "heavy" but things like the dog having an accident on your new carpet, the hot water goes cold in the shower, dinner burns, flat tire, etc.
