WELL SAID!!!.... I've never have and never will donate money to any campaign.. FOR charity, YES..

@classicRight now we have a millionaire and a billionaire running for Governor of our state. Both are sending out flyers asking for donations. Are you kidding me? They both have more money than I'll ever see and they want me to send them money? How about they get my address and drop me a check? There's just no way I'm going to send either of them a penny. Now, the people at the homeless shelter, sure I'll chip in. Somehow the world has turned upside down. Those that have, beg and those that need are quiet.

I'd rather signs be put up and outlaw the commercials. I'm so sick of hearing the commercials running that I could pull my hair out.

To adress some recent comments:
Just out of wanting to be neighborly, we take any signs down the next, win or lose.
We do sometimes donate to campaigns.
Elections are important not just pocketbook-wise but for many other reasons. Money is no comfort if an elected person believes, acts, or does things that are diametrically opposed to what you view as a honorable statesperson.

Yeah, we have the "vote for me" signs, too. Then we have the "other" signs at every other property. A company wants to run 13-story-tall electric transmission line through our area. Lots of farms, both corn & wheat, and many Dairy farms. The Farmers say that the "HUM" sound from the lines will affect their milk production. The poles take up space on their land for crops. It's a mess. Signs Everywhere!

@Jackhound Mom I have no doubt they did here in 2008 and 2012. Some signs didn’t have a name on them. Just a silhouette-like, semi-profile likeness of the candidate in red and blue.

@esmerelda That is interesting! I have never seen signs like you are describing but may this year here in AZ.

I don't really mind signs, although we haven't put any out for years and years.
But seeing them around town, I guess, is a reminder that we live in a constitutional republic, where all are free to express their beliefs. It's part of free speech, which I'm so thankful that we have.
It's very disappointing when some who can't stand that others may differ in their perceptions, will actually go on someone's property and steal or vandalize a sign. That's the shocker for me.
