Re: What's In Your Collection?

My biggest collection is Pez dispensers. I probably have around 650.

Ball Jointed Dolls I have around 30.

Yarn not on purpose really it's more a compulsion.

Books again not really doing it to collect just like to read and I buy them and keep them.

I like jewelry, any kind of jewelry that is interesting looking and well made. Space is at a premium for me, so since jewelry doesn't take up too much space, it works as a collectible for me.

I haven't really ever been a "collector" of any one specific item....However, when I saw your thread tonight, I had to laugh because just the other night I was joking with my husband at how I must be a "collector" of Throws...This probably sounds strange and not something that you would expect someone to collect but I have found that, whenever I'm out shopping and my eye happens to catch Throws, I am immediately drawn to them... I just love Throws and I have several which I change over from season to season....

I have them in every room....draped over a chair...a couch...an ottoman...at the foot of our bed....I just think that they are a lovely accent in any room and love the coziness and warmth that they add to the decor....just one throw to each room, though...I just want to make sure that no one was picturing every room in our home filled with several Throws....LOL

I drape them in different ways from what I have viewed in catalogs....I just love them!

I've enjoyed reading everyone's "collections"!

I have never been one to collect things.  I don't like knick knacks all over the house -- not for me. Cat Very Happy

Re: What's In Your Collection?

When younger I use to collect things....but now at 62 I no longer want "stuff" anymore.

I use to collect anything that had to do with birds..figurines, pictures, etc.  I also like Chinese type things....art, figurines, etc.  I also started a Steiff bear and animal collection. Now I have all this STUFF  and no one to pass it on to.  It is just stuff that when I am dead and gone hopefully someone will enjoy as I did when collecting it.

@MyShadowLove  Several of my Angels have special meaning.  They are beautiful.  I don't have the one you pictured.  Two of mine are holding doves, but they are standing.  Check eBay for some great buys on them.  I don't remember all the names of the ones I have.  One is for cancer, Hope, and I have a choir.  I directed our choir at church.

Re: What's In Your Collection?

I no longer collect anything (except clothes, way too many!), but I used to collect plates (Bradford, Danbury Mint, and from auctions, antique stores).  I also collected porcelain doll figurines and when Fenton was in business, I collected Fenton ware.  I even have Fenton lamps.  I also have a good sized collection of angels.  I do collect jewelry and I have a lot - silver, gold, gems and also costume and jewelry is the only collection I still add to, but not as in the past.

I am now in downsizing mode and out of collecting mode.

Re: What's In Your Collection?

Nothing, but if I did, it would be Little Golden Books.  I could fit the whole collection in one bookcase!
