Re: What's A Smell That Evokes a Memory

My mom only wore her Chanel #5 on Sunday.

When I smell it, I'm back in that hard pew, wiggling & getting a gentle whack.

Now that she's  passed, I sometimes wear it myself

It's a good memory

Grease and oil, I used to work in a car assembly plant.  Bad in that it was stinky and hard to get out of my clothing.  Good in that it was a decent paying position with good benefits and a generous pension plan.

Sea Breeze astringent.  It reminds me of summers spent with family at our family cottage in PA when I was growing up and into my 30's.

I always keep a bottle of it.  Rarely use it, but I open the lid and smell it.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

The intoxicating aroma of my bread baking always takes me back to my growing up smelling my mother's wonderful breads she baked!

Grass right after it's mowed reminds me of carefree childhood summers.

@gidgetgh I remember the smell of Sea Breeze. That takes me  back. I bought some Skin So Soft body wash about 10 years or so ago and although I don't use it, I do open it and smell it every now and then like you do with Sea Breeze. Woman Happy
